Short walk between Waikiki and the hotel
Comfortable 15 minutes walk to Waikiki through passways along the ocean or the park.
5 popular courses around the hotel
As shown in map below, the first two routes (Naku’e and Hilu) are in Kapiolani Park. They are at sea level, flat and designed to take advantage of the walking paths which are part of much of the park concourse. Plenty of water stops and lot of shade.
All of the other courses (Mimiki, Koapaka and Punihi) expand to take in some part of Diamond Head hill. The degree of difficulty rises in more or less geometric proportions. The water stops are spread further apart. The hills are approximately 300 feet at the highest, but the degree of incline is steep enough to be daunting to all but experienced runners.
Slow your pace. Get accustomed to the climate. Avoid the hot sun and don’t overheat. By following these few simple rules, you’ll have a great time.
